Things
to Do with Kids Indoors and Outdoors –
Ages 3-5 And 6-8 Years -Old
Just because we’re all spending more time indoors these
days doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time! Here are some indoor activities
for kids.
During the school holidays or on the weekends, the kids
will look for fun and intriguing things to do.
The following is a list of great indoor activities and
things to do with kids. Look at this:
1. Indoor Olympics: Set aside a day to host your family
Olympics. Organize an opening ceremony where each person represents a country
of their choice. Create a variety of events: Make an obstacle course out of
cushions and other household items (kids always come up with better ideas than
adults), have an egg-on-a-spoon relay race, a pillowcase race, and so on. You
can even sneak in some chores as events to kill two birds with one stone (who
can clean their room faster?). Create medals for the closing ceremony.
2. Make Finger Puppets: Gather any scraps of fabric,
buttons, or other crafty materials you have lying around the house and get
creative!
3. Card Games: A single deck of cards can provide hours
of entertainment. Go Fish, Crazy Eights, and Old Maid are a few of our
favorites. Online sites abound with games for people of all ages and rules to
go with each if you’re feeling rusty.
4. Teach Your Pet a New Trick or spend time with the pet.
It’s good for them and great for you!
