National Computer Learning Month highlights teaching the importance of skills and ideas learned by students; because technology and computers continue to grow. October is ‘Fire Prevention Month ’ The National Fire Protective Association sponsors the month of October to teach parents and children how to prevent fires in their own homes.

Its ‘Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.’ The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) sponsors this event to promote the adoption of dogs from local shelters. Each one needs a forever home, and their potential is limitless.
