Pilgrims and Native Americans: Thanksgiving is a holiday that commemorates the first harvest feast celebrated by the Pilgrims settlers of Plymouth and the Wampanoag - Native Americans in 1621. It's a time to remember the importance of friendship and cooperation.

 


Turkey Tradition:
Turkey has become a symbol of Thanksgiving. Since the 19th century when it became a popular dish for the holiday meal.

 



Parades and Football: Many cities have Thanksgiving Day parades, the most famous being the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Also, football games are a big part of the Thanksgiving tradition, with professional and college teams playing special games on this day.

 


Pumpkin Pie:
Pumpkin pie is a classic Thanksgiving dessert. Did you know that the pilgrims didn't have pumpkin pie at the first Thanksgiving? They probably had boiled pumpkin! 😉
