They held a birthday party for Garfield the Cat at the International Museum of Cartoon Art. It also celebrated the 20th anniversary of Garfield’s comic strip.

The creator of Garfield the Cat–was Jim Davis.

Or you can stay indoors and read about Juneteenth, the struggle for freedom, and have discussions with your family and friends about the importance of remembering and learning about Juneteenth.

 


National Eat an Oreo Day

The Oreo is one of the best-selling cookies in the USA.

Oreo Biscuit was the original name of the cookie. The cream used inside was created by Sam Porcello, Nabisco’s ‘principal scientist - known as ‘Mr. Oreo.’

To date, the design of the cookie has been the same since 1952.
