August Book Review

A good read for parents and teachers alike to share with children ages: 3-6 years- old and older children 8–10-year-olds.

It’s never too early to instruct children about money. The vibrant illustrations are detailed and easy to follow along for a child. Kai, a worrier type of kid, received some money gift during the Chinese New Year.

After his father takes him to deposit the money at the bank, Kai believes the money monster ate his money.

The mention of ATM, appearing as a monster, an armored truck, all connected to the bank, explained by his mother. Eased Kai's worry from going to attack the money monster to get bank his money.

(The illustration in that section was spot-on!)

The storyline and artwork help parents to open a delightful approach to saving money. Especially for the smaller children-a piggy bank and older kids deposit them into the bank.

The ATM card is a bit much for a 6-year-old. Perhaps 8 -10-year-olds would be better at handling an ATM card.

Overall, a delight educational well-written story, for parents and children great conversation to develop from reading this book!
