  Hey Kids, May is an exciting month because it’s packed with fun celebrations! Let’s dive into three awesome things happening this month: National Barbecue Month May is National Barbecue Month! This is the perfect time for the family to fire up the grill and enjoy delicious, barbecued foods with the family and friends. Imagine juicy burgers, tasty hot dogs, and grilled veggies – all cooked outside in the nice weather. Barbecues are not just about food; they’re also about having a great time together! And everyone safe stay around those grills- Please! National Strawberry Month Guess what? May is also National Strawberry Month! Strawberries are super yummy and they’re at their best right now. You can eat them fresh, dip them in chocolate, or add them to your cereal. Yummy! Some people even go to strawberry farms to pick their own strawberries – how cool is that? Plus, strawberries are really good for you because they’re full of vitamins. I guess you didn’t know that...

May is ‘National Bike Month’   K eeping K ids S afe on T wo W heels!   A few tips on keeping your child Safe and Prevent accidents   Helmet – children should always wear a helmet. A helmet helps to minimize the risk of brain injuries.   Protective gear - All riders’ children and adults to include knees pads and elbow pads. So let your parents know if on a bike, skateboards, or scooter ‘Gear-Up!’ Ages 10 and under should ride on the sidewalk. When available use the bike lane, even children riding on rollerblades, scooters, and skateboards. Be aware of your surrounds from strangers, to pedestrians on the sidewalk, be courteous sharing the sidewalk with others moving about. Lastly, when crossing the street you should walk – not ride.
