School is out, and summer is the perfect time to explore, create, and have fun! You don't need expensive vacations to have an amazing summer. Sometimes the best adventures happen right in your own neighborhood! Let’s explore -

 Explore the Outdoors

Fresh air and sunshine can make every day an adventure.

🧺 Park-to-Table Picnic

Pack healthy snacks like sandwiches, apples, grapes, and water. Bring a blanket and enjoy lunch at your local park.

🌿 Nature Walk

Take a walk and see how many interesting things you can find.
Can you spot:

  • Five different leaves?
  • Three birds?
  • A butterfly?
  • A squirrel?
  • A colorful flower?

Bring a notebook and draw or write about your discoveries.


 Sidewalk Chalk Obstacle Course

Use sidewalk chalk to create:

  • Hopscotch
  • Zigzag lines
  • Balance paths
  • Jumping circles
  • Finish line races

Challenge your friends or family! It’s fun!


💦 Water Fun

Stay hydrated and COOL by:

  • Running through a sprinkler
  • Water balloon toss
  • Sponge relay races
  • Filling buckets and measuring water

Always ask an adult before playing with water.

 


Become a Summer Scientist

Science is everywhere!

 




Ice Cream in a Bag

Did you know you can make ice cream using science?

Mix:

  • Milk
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla

Place the bag inside another bag with ice and salt. Shake it for several minutes until it freezes!

 Easy STEM Experiments

Try:

  • Baking soda + vinegar volcano
  • Magnet treasure hunt
  • Floating and sinking experiment
  • Rainbow with water and food coloring

Ask yourself:

  • What happened?
  • Why did it happen?
  • What can I change next time?

Ask an adult for help -when mixing baking soda and vinegar

 Get Creative

Summer is a great time to:

  • Paint
  • Draw comics
  • Build with LEGO® bricks
  • Write stories
  • Make friendship bracelets
