March: Women’s History Month

 

 

Every March we celebrate Women's History Month, a time to learn about amazing women who helped shape science, sports, inventions, and everyday life. Many of these women had big dreams, even when people told them their ideas wouldn’t work, but it did!

Also, many of these wonderful women are all around you- family, neighbors, teachers, …  All around us!

Women throughout history have been explorers, inventors, scientists, writers, and athletes. What kind of history would you like to make someday?!

Native American Heritage Month and Contributions

  Native American Heritage Month National Native American Heritage Month is celebrated each year in November that began in 1990. It is a time to celebrate the traditions, languages and stories of the vi communities and ensure their rich histories and contributions continue to thrive with each passing generation .   On August 3, 1990, President of the United States George H. W. Bush declared the month of November as National American Indian Heritage Month.   Did you know : Native Americans and Alaska Natives (NA/AN) have made significant contributions to various aspects of life in the United States and beyond.
